Community
One of our main aims is to embed the young women we work with into the community, providing a sense of belonging, value and increasing essential connections. We have worked with numerous community groups, charities and other social enterprises assisting at their fundraisers, AGMs, conferences and more.
Intergenerational events such as Christmas afternoon teas for older people have been some of our favourite events to work at. Consistent feedback is around how much value the young women feel they are contributing to people who are struggling with issues such as dementia and often are the most isolated and lonely in society. See the Intergenerational page for more.
We also have welcomed many individuals and groups to our own Brazil fundraisers, which are planned and hosted by our team! See the International page for more.
Through working with us young women can gain Time Credits and access local amenities in the community. Time Credits is a national scheme of being given time for time. The credits can be spent at partners across the UK and locally the cinema and gyms are always a favourite!
