At Turtle Dove, we recognise that the challenges young women face are global and systemic. We aim to connect young women in Cambridge with the experiences of young women overseas, while helping them build skills and gain valuable experience.

As part of this, we have been fundraising to take a team to volunteer with Revive International in Brazil, an organisation supporting young women affected by abuse and trafficking.

Revive has invited us to lead activities including English lessons, self-esteem and healthy relationships workshops, aspirations sessions, and creative exploration classes.

So far, our fundraising has included Brazilian dinners, chocolate tasting evenings, an 80s disco, and more, raising nearly £8,000! Many of the young women have been directly involved in planning, delivering and reviewing these events, gaining invaluable experience and engagement alongside the regular events they support or host.
